Our Pork
-
We raise our Kune Kune pigs on pasture using rotational grazing practices, which benefits both the animals and the environment. This method allows our pastures to improve year after year while providing our pigs with a natural and enriched lifestyle. As our Kune Kunes graze through the pastures and woods, they naturally clear underbrush, helping us create even more pasture space for them to enjoy.
-
From day one, our pigs live on pasture. Sows farrow in cozy shelters, and within just a few days, the piglets begin exploring the outdoors, learning to respect electric fencing early on. Piglets stay with their mothers for at least 10 weeks, ensuring they have the best start to life. We take pride in raising our pigs without the use of vaccines or antibiotics, including for our breeders.
-
Our pigs thrive in an stress-free environment, filled with sunshine, fresh air, and lush pastures rich in diverse grasses and forage. They are also supplemented with high-quality, organic, non-GMO, soy-free feed sourced from Kentucky Organic Farm & Feed. We care for our pigs with love, respect, and plenty of belly rubs, and this care is reflected in the quality of their meat. Their pork is exceptionally marbled, with a rich red hue that resembles beef—nothing like what you’d find in a grocery store.
